Action titles in reports
Attention!
Sometimes it only takes a little work to create a big impact. Titles say: Attention! And that's important because if "Revenues, May 2009" is written above your report, it probably won't cause much of a stir. But if your headline says "Sales will probably continue to drop without further intervention", you'll surely grab your readers' attention.
But seriously. How you label something greatly affects if and how your readers will understand it. DeltaMaster addresses these needs with its unique concept for report titles. Although this functionality has been around for some time now, we have recently improved their visualization under the new name Action Titles.

Creating attention-grabbing titles in DeltaMaster reports
We recommend report authors to give as much thought to their report titles as they would for the actual content. In the new presentation mode, DeltaMaster can create a title page for a given folder which contains all report titles within it. As a result, you can quickly create a summary of the story that you want to present. Since your readers will also see it as soon as possible, their curiosity will grow and they will want to examine the content more closely. To put it bluntly, which movie would you rather see: "Monthly Report, Current Finances" or "Dire Straits: The Measures That Will Get Us Back on Track"?

Here is an example how effective Action Titles can be. This title page shows a synopsis
of your entire story before you even open a single report.
The idea of giving each report an action title is just one of many DeltaMaster's features that are designed to reunite things that should have never been separated in the first place. It's rather unfortunate that there are different programs for writing text, drawing images and calculating numbers instead just one like it was back in the early days of Apple computers. To users, they are all just documents - and they just happen to contain calculations, charts and text.
That's why DeltaMaster allows you to integrate data, tables, charts, text and even images harmoniously into a highly informative report. Best of all, anyone can understand it - maybe even without having to listen to the accompanying presentation.
