Slice & dice in OLAP
Twisting and turning
No matter which way you look at it, tables are still a good means for presenting numbers - especially when you can view them any way you'd like. In DeltaMaster that's simple thanks to standard functions like slice and dice. And that's just the beginning.
With DeltaMaster, that's a piece of cake in Windows as well as the Web - already in Viewer mode. Beyond these typical OLAP features, DeltaMaster offers enhanced functions that help you analyze your data and understand relationships much more quickly. To do that, you often only need to make a few small clicks in your pivot table - if you know how to navigate it properly. That's why DeltaMaster offers a built-in pivot navigation.

The pivot navigation in DeltaMaster automatically shows the way. With a mere slice and
dice, it would take you considerably longer to find the cause for this variance.
DeltaMaster allows you to drill down on a pivot table step by step to show additional columns or rows that bring you closer to the relevant information. DeltaMaster automatically detects which factor has the largest influence on the measure. Several built-in data mining methods are working hard in the background. Since the pivot navigation runs automatically, however, the user doesn't have to worry about them. DeltaMaster will then extend the pivot table partially to show the influencing factor.
One great advantage of this type of report design is that you never lose eye's sight of the objects that you want to compare. At each level, you can still see the neighboring members as well as those on higher levels. By adding sparklines, tried-and-true word-sized graphics, you can create extremely polished reports. These incorporate developments over time - another important type of comparison for your pivot table.
Slice and dice is important now - and will be in the future. But innovative is something else. And that's exactly what our pivot navigation is.
