The Leuchtturm Gruppe is a multi-brand company and sells premium products in the areas of collec­ting, writing, lifestyle and gifting. The Leuchtturm1917 brand is known for high-quality paper and statio­nery, while the Torquato mail order company stands for „things with soul“. The supplier relation­ships of the family business from Geest­hacht near Hamburg extend all the way to the Far East. In recent years, this has posed an increa­sing number of challen­ges for material planning. Building on the positive experi­ences with other business intelli­gence appli­ca­tions from Bissantz, a special planning appli­cation was deve­loped in 2023 to enable demand-driven items to be pur­chased as required.

„The aim was to align our ordering processes more closely with sales require­ments,“ summarizes Fabian Justa, Head of Purcha­sing at the Leuchtturm Gruppe. He played a key role in the deve­lop­ment of the solution. Based on his demands and sugges­tions, Bissantz created a rolling sales plan over twelve months, which is carried out by the sales depart­ment in order to provide the purcha­sing depart­ment with a solid data­base for procure­ment. To simplify the input of plan values, DeltaMaster auto­ma­tically pre-fills them. The planning appli­cation calcu­lates these default values on the basis of actual data, extra­polated from the previous sales plan.
